American model and actress Angela Lindvall was born in Oklahoma but raised in Missouri. One of five children, she started modeling at the age of 14 for IMG after being discovered at a fashion show in Kansas City. After a short hiatus, she returned to modeling at age 17 and was soon on the cover of ELLE, Vogue, Marie Claire and others.
Angela Lindvall is an exceptional model and is most known for her distinctive walk. She has appeared in fashion shows for DKNY, Calvin Klein, Christian Dior, Chanel, and Tommy Hilfiger. She has also appeared in campaigns for H & M and Gap as well as posing frequently in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. In addition, Angela is a model for Victoria’s Secret, appearing in their 2004 and 2005 fashion shows.
As with many models, Angela aspired to be an actress as well and appeared in the movie CQ in 2001, New York Stories in 2003, DKNY Road Stories in 2004, and the 2005 movie Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang with Robert Downey, Jr. and Val Kilmer. Angela is slated to appear in the upcoming horror film Pearblossom with Scout Taylor-Compton.
However, Angela continues to be the spokesmodel for many upscale designers, such as Valentino, Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Missoni, Miu Miu, and Prada. She is currently the face of the Spanish store Zara and was featured in the 2007 campaign. Angela has been nominated twice for Model of the Year at the Vogue/VH1 fashion award show. Angela Lindvall was briefly linked with actor Billy Zane in 2000. However, she later married William Edwards, a professional diver and the couple has two sons, William, born in 2002, and Sebastian, born in 2005. They reside on a houseboat in New Jersey.
Angela is an avid environmentalist and vegetarian. She is president and founder of the Collage Foundation, which is an organization dedicated to sustaining conscious and earth-friendly choices among youth today. The hope of Angela and the organization is to empower youth in their choices and help them realize that they can make a difference. For a woman who seems to have it all, Angela Lindvall is not without a tragic past. In August 2006, her younger sister, Audrey – also a model with IMG – was killed while riding a bicycle during a family visit to Missouri when she was struck by a truck.
